The Office Romance Conundrum
This post by Delaware Employment Law Blog isn’t really a cartoon, but the post’s pie-charts sort of reminded me of a cartoon. The subject of the post isn’t pure HR humor, but after reading the post, I think you’ll agree that some of the results of the survey are funny. They also provide a lot of food for thought about a serious workplace problem. To get the full impact, you’ll need to read the entire survey.

I especially liked this comment:
“I’ve been single all my life and never been on a date; I can’t be choosy. Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t do an office romance.”
What does that say about human nature?
June 16th, 2009 at 8:11 amThe survey was interesting, but it failed to provide one key comparison… I’d like to see the perception of how well people think their own office romances work compared to the perception of their co-workers.

Thanks for your comment. I think this says that all humans are pitiful.
Frank,
People curently involved in office romances feel pretty good about them. They feel that their co-workers’ office romances are lame. But when they become involved with office co-workers they considered formerly lame. they begin to feel pretty good about them and their new romances. What a conumdrum!
