Guide to Hiring Women

April 24, 2008 at 12:56 pm by: John Phillips

Gender issues are a common subject on this blog.  After all, these issues arise in the workplace every day and are the cause of employment lawsuits from time to time.

Women are heard to sometimes ask why these issues are still around–why some studies show a continuing gender pay gap–why there’s a glass ceiling.  Click the three links below, and you may discern answers.  The three links are all to the same thing, but the quality is a bit different in each one, so I’m giving you a choice.

I’ll concede that one could reasonably argue that after 65 years (the time between the publication of the “guide” and today), these questions should no longer need to be asked.  But things move slowly, and things have changed.
